Homemade Solar Heater

Nowadays, seeing the dearth in the earth's reserved energy resources, different organizations are trying to utilize the renewable energy resources like solar energy, tidal energy, wind energy etc. for different purposes. Among them Solar Energy is the most abundant and is gaining more popularity. The decline in the availability of fossil fuels and hike in the cost of electricity have paved the way for solar energy to become the alternative source of energy for all of us.

Solar heaters: more feasible for home

People are now trying to build homemade solar heater so that they get relief from the shortage of energy. New innovations are coming up for running industries and households and out of all innovations for utilizing the energy of the sun; solar heaters are the best option for household activities. Besides, converting solar energy by using solar heater takes less designs and processing in comparison to other application of solar energy.

Working of solar heaters

When the molecules are excited, their vibration causes the evolution of heat as a by-product and to stabilize themselves they have to release this energy. This happens when the sunlight falls on the highly thermal conductive substance and excites them. This movement and heat is transferred from one material to other causing an incessant flow of heat.

Application of solar heaters

Water heaters and air heaters are the best application of solar heaters used for household purpose. All varieties of solar heaters have solar panels. The mechanism is very simple, entrapment of solar energy into photovoltaic cells and converting it to electrical and heat energy.

Reasons for building a solar heater at home

Though you can get one in the market, but building one yourself at home will give you satisfaction and you can design it according to your wish. Secondly, initial cost is lessened because you can use recyclable materials like aluminum cans, which are easily available at home for making solar panels.

Lots of such websites and books are available which will guide you in building a homemade solar heater and one such that is making its present felt in this field is the simpleheaters. Thoroughly understand the theories and concepts and you can come up with more cost effective, eco-friendly, and efficient homemade solar heater.

How to Build Wind Generator at Home

Wind power can be an excellent alternative to a solar power system. In many places, when the sun is not shining, the wind is usually blowing. Wind power is very helpful in the winter to capture both the gentle and ferocious mountain winds when there is less sunlight but in need of high power. Wind power is not suitable as the only source of power in many locations. It is just used to fill in the gaps when sunlight is not enough to produce electricity.

It is not that difficult to make a wind generator by yourself. You will need some basic hand tools and power tools, with some degree of dedication. We define wind generators of 2000watts as large generator and 700-100 as small generators. Large generators requires very strong construction and small generators can be built easily. We highly recommend that you try to build a small wind turbine before even thinking about building a large one. You will need to cut and weld steel, and a metal lathe should be needed.(however you can hire a machine shop to do some steps for you)

In most locations, strong winds very rare while GENTLE winds (5-15 mph) are the most common. It is best to make large, sturdy wind turbines that produce good power even in low wind speeds, and are able to survive high wind events while still producing maximum power. The power available in the wind goes up by a factor of 8 when the speed of the wind doubles.

Other important factors are rotor size and tower height. The power a wind turbine can produce goes up by at least a factor of 4 as you double the rotor size. And making a tower higher gets you above turbulence for better performance and substantially increased the power output. Putting a wind turbine on a short tower is just like putting solar panels in the shade!

Green Power Easy Review-The Easiest,Cheapest Way to Convert your Home to Solar or Wind Power

Many people these days are looking for alternative energy solutions to combat rising electricity prices and to reduce their impact on the environment.

To buy a complete alternative energy system and have it installed could cost you $15,000 to $20,000. The great news is that there are now excellent do-it-yourself guides like Green Power Easy, that make it simple to convert your home to solar or wind power for as little as $200 to $300.

Being passionate about sustainable living practices, I have been looking for alternative energy guides for some time . I have purchased two guides in the past, but as a female do-it-yourselfer, I found them to be a little too technical at times and found it difficult to understand some of the instructions. I didn't feel confident enough to get started on the solar conversion I had planned.

Having recently purchased the Green Power Easy series of guides, I must say they are the most comprehensive and easy to understand guides I have ever come across. Most importantly it's the first time I've seen a guide that teaches you how to convert your whole home, easily, to solar or wind power.

The authors Peter and Jen Lowe, provide well written step-by-step instructions on how to build solar panels and wind turbines, and how to connect them to other components to complete your home conversion. Professionally designed illustrations also help to show you how to complete each step. There is nothing too challenging here for the average DIYer, but if you are not that confident about doing things like soldering, sawing, drilling and wiring, you may have to enlist the help of a handyman friend.

Green Power Easy comes as a series of ebooks and videos comprising of:

1 The EASY DIY Guide to Solar and Wind Power
This is the main ebook of 140 pages that teaches you:
What alternative energy is all about.
How to choose which alternative energy solution is best for your home.

3 The EASY REBATES Guide
This shows you how to take advantage of green rebates of up to 75 %, available from federal, state, and local governments.
It includes information on:
US federal, state and local rebates.
Canadian federal and provincial rebates.
Information for UK and Australian members, and information for other countries.

4 The EASY PARTS ORDERING Guide
Learn where to source parts that you can afford.
You will learn:
How to find solar cells to build a panel for less than $25.
How to get a turbine generator for less than $40.

Power For Your Home

My Boys and I , Lifes Great!

I've always wanted to save money on anything I could. My wife says she has to use dynamite to open my wallet. I really do get tired of ever rising utility bills. It seems like every month some one else is raising their rates. I guess that's why I started looking for ways to save on the rising cost of energy. I never realized that there were so many different ways to save on energy.

I remember back when I was growing up (back in the 50s), we were shown first hand economics. For you that don't know exactly what that means,we had to turn out the lights when we left a room, turn down the thermostat on the furnace to 68 degrees. Walk to every place we could just to save some gas, and gas back then was in the cents. Well enough of the good old days grandpa. Check it out: Power 4 Home

But really with the prices sky rocketing, I went looking and found this system to save on my energy bill. My energy bills have doubled since last year and I finally found a way to get relief from paying those prices. Did you know that you can build a solar or wind mill system in your back yard and its all legal. Yes, for $200 dollars you can build it. With the energy bills going higher and higher this is a great way to save. You can hook it right up to your home and start saving money every month. The great part is it doesn't take a genius to put this together. You can do it in a matter of hours. And if you're a person that is concerned about the environment, this is perfect for the environment. Power 4 Home

I personally don't believe in global warming and I'm sure some of you could argue that point but we want go there. But for the money that this system saves me, you can't argue with that. Now if you can afford all the higher prices more power to you but if you would like to save at least 80% of your energy bill, you can't go wrong with this system.

You just might want to ask about this. Drop by at Power 4 Home
